I promised my sweet friend that I would post a picture of her, and only her today since she is my little fan. She reads my blog almost day! I need to do a better job of keeping it updated so I can give her something to read.

Holiday Deadlines

Fall is by far my favorite time of the year. I love the changing colors, the smell of pumpkin and spices and the cool air. And with fall comes the busy Holiday season for pictures!

I am already booked up until November 10th, so I have decided to open up one more day a week for photo sessions. This day will be every Thursday evening. If you have already made an appointment and would like to change to an earlier Thursday, please contact me as soon as possible as these dates will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Here are some important dates to keep in mind. Please be considerate. No exceptions will be made.

Nov. 14........Last day for photo sessions.
Nov. 27.......All Christmas cards must be ordered by this date for Dec. 7 delivery.
Dec. 7..........All orders must placed to receive your pictures by Dec. 21.

Keep in mind that some products take longer to be made, including coffee table books and photo handbags. Here are the deadlines for Christmas delivery on PHOTO HANDBAGS and COFFEE TABLE BOOKS:

Sep. 12.......Kayla Wristlets

POLICY CHANGES FOR THE FOLLOWING MONTHS

Because of the demand during the holiday season, I have decided to add a retainer policy. Once you schedule a session during the months of September, October and November, a retainer equal to the amount of your session fee ($60-$75) will be due. If you need to cancel, the retainer will not be refunded. Every year I have a waiting list and it wouldn't be fair to those who couldn't schedule if I have cancelations since those people on the list would have been able to take the spot.

Proofing galleries will only be available for 1 week. This is to ensure we meet all the deadlines and give me enough time to produce quality prints.

I love it when little ones are full of energy. They just radiate happiness, health, curiosity and warmth. This beautiful little girl is my baby's age and is just as much as active as mine. She was much too busy dancing her little bottom off- so cute! And her big brother was just a charm. We talked about Power Rangers and poopy diapers-wait, what? Poopy diapers? Oh yes, that always gets them going! (By the way, these cuties belong to a very talented photographer friend of mine who does amazing sports and landscape photography. Take a peek on his website-he has some pretty amazing shots.)

I admit that I'm totally biased when it comes to these little sweet hearts since they are related to me. They are my sister's daughters and I just think they are beautiful! The oldest was lovin' the camera this time.

planning for christmas!

I know it's barely July and some of you might think it's too early to start thinking about Christmas, but believe it or not, I've already had my first order of Christmas cards. I just want to remind everyone how crazy it gets in the fall. If you're thinking about having a session done for Christmas pictures and cards, I suggest you start considering dates. I am currently booking for photo shoots in September and October.

Like I said before, I had the opportunity to photograph two of my roommates' kids. These beautiful little girls belong to one of those roomies. We took these pictures in their grandma's backyard, which was picture perfect. The grand kids loved being able to play with the water. It was a blast!
This little cutie just turned 1. She LOVES the cat and the cat got some great smiles out of her!

She was looking up at her daddy in this picture. I love her expression in this one. She's definitely a daddy's little girl.

These beautiful little twins were such a blast to photograph. They'll be turning the big 1 pretty soon and they are sooo adorable. I just kept on wanting to chew on their chubby legs and playing with them the whole time I was supposed to be photographing them. Don't you love just love those little pig tails?

back in action

I'm back from my much needed break and am in full swing now. It's so interesting how different types of photo shoots come in spurts. Like there was a time where I was doing a lot of maternity shoots, then newborn, and recently I've had quite a few 1 year-old shoots. And interestingly enough they aren't related to each other in any way. I've also had the opportunity to photograph two of my roomies from college. So I'll be posting quite a bit a pictures in the next few days-hopefully!

I'll start from where I left off before leaving on my trip. This is little A, who just turned one. He was such a good little subject-just happy.

I had a blast with these little princess. Aren't they beautiful? I've known these cuties for 5 years now and I have really seen them blossom. I'll leave you with two of my favorites.

chunky monkey

This handsome babe is already 9 months. How time goes by. I photographed him when he was born and when he was 6 months. He is such a delight to photograph. He doesn't really move and he's so happy. I love his deep laugh-so contagious. I was excited when his mom told me she wanted the pictures without any backdrops-just my carport and wall as the background. I love the way these turned out with the warm colors. I tried to put my own little monkey in the same place before, but wasn't successful since he's so active!
